Hanna
Brown
ACTOR. DIRECTOR. THEATRE & FILM ARTIST.
Hanna Brown is a Los Angeles based actor and director. Her passion for acting is rooted in her deep interest in human psychology, along with a ferocious love for performing.
She is currently studying Theatre (acting/directing emphasis) at California State University, Northridge where she is on track to receive her Bachelor’s of Arts this spring. With a love for physical and character work, she has acquired specialized training in Mask, Clown, and Dance. She previously trained for a summer at Stella Adler Academy, where she focused on camera acting and movement.
Hanna is known for her diverse range and ability to embody various characters. Last year she played Vivian Bearing in Wit, a play following a prestigious professor of poetry as she grapples with end of life due to ovarian cancer (in which Hanna shaved her head for the role). From there, she went straight into playing the brash and loud Mrs.Wormwood in Matilda the Musical where she exercised her comedic, dance, and vocal chops. A week after that closed, she went into rehearsals for an all queer production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream where she played Demetrius.
Hanna has also assistant directed various productions, with her most recent being Matilda the Musical Jr, directed by Sarah Kline at Teenage Drama Workshop. She looks forward to continue working with children.
Although work is her main passion, she is also passionate about her family, music, wellness / exercise, and coffee.
ABOUT HANNA BROWN (SHE/HER)
“One of the things that made the play stand out was the presentation of the character Helena, played by Hanna Brown. The passion Brown radiated through the room made her character the most interesting one. Helena interacted the most with the audience out of the characters in the play, and the audience members laughed and clapped for most of her time on stage.”
